What has been changed in Education? Egitimde Ne Degisti?

Years back I started to write on the blackboard w white chalk. We used to make duster from old coat stripes, it was like a consumable for the class, chalk and dusters were in the air each break.  Then boards changed their colors from black to green at highschool, university was the same except some profs were using OHP w multicolor markers. Chalk quality was better they were even different colors they were not creating so much dust on teacher and pupil. There I was in US in early 80s teaching on the board w higher quality chalks making small sculptures w needle to students. These chalks werng so much  higher quality my clothes were free of dust. Where it is appropriate I was using whiteboard w three color boardmarker. Then I came across with intelligent boards. Before coming to Turkey I bought enough markers, eraser and ink for my educational/business journey. There I was w chalk and board on the site projector. Projector lamp replacement was a deary price at the vendor so I replaced it on my own against all threats of the vendor. Boards & chalks were not making so much fuss.
Now I return and look at back; nothing changed. Teacher, board, marker, students.  One transfer what he knows to others via physical or digital environment. When we remove classes, take out teacher, perish written notes, recorded voices and have each indiviudal design his own syllabus and digest that knowledge as brain waves then we will have the Change in Education.

Yillar once karatahta ve tebesirler basladim. Bizler eski paltokumaslardan tahta silgisi yapar sinifa getirirdik zira tuketim malzemesi gibi idi ya cocuklar bununla mac yapar ya da cope atarlardi. Tebesirleri sonuna kadar kullanmak icin bazilari metalik bir kilif kullanirlardi. Lisede tahta daha sonra rengini degistirdi, artik tahtada degildi duvara macun cekmislerdi yesil duvara yaziyorduk. Universitede hala kara tahta vardi ama kimileri tepegoz kullaniyordu. Tebesirin niteligi degismisti dah az toz birakiyordu. Renklenmisti de.. ABD de 80lerin basinda tebesirler tozsuz ve hayli renkli idi. Buradaki tebesirler insanin giysilerinde toz birakmiyordu. Yalniz tebesir tasarufu icin onlem yoktu Istanbuldaki gibi. Tepegozden de ders verdigim oluyordu.  Bilgisayar siniflarinda ders verirken kendi ekranimi ogrencilere paylasiyor, onlarin ekranlarina baglanip, ya da onlarin ekranini duvara yansitabiliyordum. Tebesir yok olmus, ekranda goruntuler meydana cikmisti.
Ama yine de Turkiyeye gelmeden once yeteri kadar beyaz tahta kalemi ve silgisi aldim yanima. 90larda Istanbul'da universitede egitim verirken hala tebesir ve tahta ile beraberdim. Her ne kadar sinifta projector varsa da calistirmak hayli guctu, ustelik lambasinin bedeli neredeyse bir makina kadardi. Bozulan lambayi kendim tamir ettim 1300 USD yerine 50 USD civarina degistirdim, saticinin garantiyi ihlal ediyorsunuz biz sizin urunuze destek vermeyiz tehditlerine karsin. Tahta ve tebesirde boylesi sorunlar yoktu ote yandan.
Simdi geri donup bakiyorum aslinda bir sey degismemis egitimde onca yildir. Hala ogretmen, tahta, kalem ve ogrenciler var. Biri digerlerine bildigini  aktariyor ya fiziksel ya da sayisal ortamda.Eger siniflari, okullari ortadan kaldirirsak, yazili notlar, sesler kullanilmazsa ve her birey kendi egitimini tasarlar ve bunu beyin dalgalari olarak alirsa iste o zaman egitimde degisim olacak.
